Ministry's Twitch arrived in 1992 as the Chicago industrial pioneers' third full-length for Sire Records, solidifying their position at the forefront of electronic and industrial music. By this point, the project—led by Al Jourgensen—had moved decisively beyond synth-pop experimentation into harder, more aggressive electronic territory, with Twitch showcasing the band's increasingly dance-floor-oriented approach to industrial production.
