Recorded across shows in New York and San Francisco in nineteen eighty-one, Misfits' Evilive captures the band in their raw, chaotic early prime. Originally issued as a seven-song EP, it was expanded into a full album in nineteen eighty-seven, cementing its place as the band’s first official live release.

This performance is short, feral, and unpolished in the best possible way. Glenn Danzig howls through staples like “20 Eyes,” “Night Of The Living Dead,” and “Astro Zombies,” while the band tears through “Horror Business,” “London Dungeon,” and “Hatebreeders” with seedy club intensity. The closing “We Are 138” features guest vocals from Henry Rollins, adding to the historic crossover moment.

This nineteen ninety-seven US repress on Caroline Records features reworked cover artwork, updated center labels with the Caroline logo, and no Plan 9 logo, pressed on black vinyl.
