Recorded on November eighteen, nineteen ninety-three at Sony Music Studios in New York City, Nirvana's MTV Unplugged In New York captured the band in a rare acoustic setting during the height of their global influence. Rather than leaning on their biggest hits, the performance highlighted deeper cuts, covers, and stripped-down arrangements that revealed a different side of the band’s songwriting.

The set includes memorable versions of “About A Girl,” “Come As You Are,” and “All Apologies,” alongside powerful covers such as David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold The World” and Lead Belly’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night.” Guest appearances by the Meat Puppets and cellist Lori Goldston helped shape the intimate atmosphere of the performance.

This twenty-fifth anniversary edition expands the original album with rehearsal recordings and presents the performance across two LPs in a gatefold sleeve, preserving one of the most iconic live recordings of the nineteen nineties.
