Originally released in two thousand, Queens Of The Stone Age's R marked the band’s breakthrough moment and helped define the sound of modern stoner and alternative rock. Built around Josh Homme’s hypnotic riffs and unconventional songwriting, the album blends desert rock groove, psychedelic textures, and heavy rhythmic drive.

The record features standout tracks like “Feel Good Hit Of The Summer,” “The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret,” and “In The Fade,” the latter featuring vocals from Mark Lanegan. With contributions from Nick Oliveri and collaborators including Chris Goss and Dave Catching, R expanded the band’s sonic palette while retaining the raw edge of their earlier work.
